As a certified forest bathing guide, I’m always curious about what that experience is like for other guides around the world.
I live on Long Island, NY. We have many ecosystems: forests, beaches, wetlands and marshes, estuaries where salt water mixes with freshwater. We have shellfish reefs and pine barrens, and more.
Our wildlife consists of non-venomous snakes (native), some coyote, deer, opossum, fox … We aren’t in danger when we walk, especially in preserves and arboretums.
Some of my colleagues guide in much wilder places and I really want to learn more about them and the places they guide. When they offer a sensory invitation, what are the scents, the sights, the sounds and the tactile experiences their forest bathers have?
Some of these 15-minute podcasts will be available to both paid and free subscribers. Some might be reserved for my paid subscribers as a thank you for their unwavering support over the years.
I’m delighted to introduce my first 15-minute podcast with certified guide Erica Silver of The Redwood Path. I hope you enjoy it!
